Senate trying to ruin Super Sunday?

So douche-bag Arlen Specter (R-PA) is trying to play tough with the NFL.  He’s obviously not a Patriots fan, because he is really bent out of shape about Camera-Gate.  He’s going around saying there’s something amiss with the way the NFL destroyed the tapes the Patriots made of opposing coaches.  Goodell says the tapes got trashed because the matter was dealt with and he didn’t want any risk of them getting into the wrong hands.  No real procedure was in place for a matter like this, but now there is precedent.  Problem solved?  Not according to Specter.  He is saying the explanation by Goodell is hogwash and somehow all of this is tarnishing the integrity of the NFL.  Clearly, this is a matter to take straight to the President.  Specter even went as far as to hint at threats against the NFL’s antitrust exemption.  Look, I’m sorry the Eagles didn’t make it this year but that’s no reason to waste our time and tax-dollars with this witch hunt.  Republicans keep talking about limiting the size of government and unnecessary bureaucracy, and then we start making something like this a matter for congress?  Listen up Eagles fans… this guy is the sole reason your team stinks.  He gave the okay on the Iverson trade, he pissed off TO, he made the Phillies lose 200 games each year.  It’s all his fault, remember that when elections come around!
